The Guru Mantra

Thursdays are considered Guru Day

The Guru is within oneself and without.
The Guru is God, man, animal, tree, and stone.
The Guru is visible and invisible.
The Guru speaks and is silent.
The Guru is in the mind and in the heart.
The Guru is beyond the mind and the heart.
The Guru has a name, has infinite names, and the Guru is nameless also.
The Guru is known and unknown.
The Guru is dharma, upholds dharma, teaches dharma, and destroys dharma.
The Guru is in all things good and bad, sinner and saint.
The Guru is mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, and child.
The Guru is enemy and ally.

The Guru is Love.

This ancient Sanskrit mantra has been recited for thousands of years.

Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu,
Guru Devo, Maheshvara,
Guru Sakshat Parabrahma,
Tasmai, Shri Gurave Nama.
